Private Lessons & Training Classes
Falls Village Veterinary Hospital Classes:
We will be offering our Puppy Class and our Adult Dog Class starting again in September. These classes will both meet at Falls Village Veterinary Hospital in North Raleigh. These classes are usually 6 weeks long, with the first week being an orientation and class. The cost for these classes is $100. Orientation/First class for the September classes is September 8th at 6:30 for puppies and 7:30 for puppies / adults. The class is scheduled to meet on Monday Sept 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, Oct 6th and Graduation on Monday October 13th.
Our next 6 week class will begin in October 27th.

Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital Classes:
We will also be offering our Puppy Class and our Adult Dog Class at Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital starting July. These classes will meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 at Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital on Mitchell Mill Rd in North East Raleigh. These classes are usually 6 weeks long, with the first week being an orientation and class. The cost for these classes is $100. Orientation/First class for the July classes is July 22nd. The class is scheduled to meet on Tuesday July 22nd, 29th, August 5th, August 19th, Graduation on Tuesday August 26th.
Our next 6 week class will begin in September 9th.

Competitive Obedience Classes:
We also teach a Competitive Obedience class. This class focuses on precision of your basic obedience commands, while emphasizing handler skills and ring preperation. There will be focus on Rally Obedience and the option for more advanced, Open and Utility Exercises. This class will be offered at Knightdale Academy of Gymnastics in Knightdale, which is on Hwy 64 approximately 3 miles from Hwy 540. This class will have independent work, Rally run-thrus, and instruction. We are taking the Summer off and will resume this class in the middle of August. The cost will be $50 for all four weeks; $15/week; and Obedience Run Thrus $5. Call 418-7953 for more info!
Hounds-Around-Town Adventure Bound Class:
New this Spring: Hounds-Around-Town Adventure Bound Class. This class will meet on Saturday mornings in different locations each week. This is a perfect solution to getting out with your pup and training in the everyday world. The first hour of class will work on general obedience - walking on a loose leash, sit, down, stay, and come. This hour will be ideal for family pets. In the second hour, we will work with competitive teams -- creating rings and setting up rally courses in different areas each week. Both classes will create strong focus on the handler during all kinds of distractions. We will randomly select parks, schools, and other public places in the Raleigh each week. We will start off with a 4 week class (it may grow to a 6 week class if we get a good response). The cost will be $70 for all 4 weeks or $20/week. With the heat of Summer upon us we will need to take some time off as it is too hot to work outside. We will resume this class in Septmeber....our first location TBA. **Dogs should already know sit, down and stay. We will be working on making these commands stronger .**
Canine Good Citizen (CGC):
We will also be testing for the Canine Good Citizen in the Fall. This test will be held at Falls Village Vet Hospital. We will accept dogs on a first come first serve basis. We will announce the date and time when we have it set. The cost of the test is $10 per dog / $5 for retries. Contact us for more information.
Caring Canine Pet Ministry: We also certify dogs for Pet Therapy. If your church is interested in creating a Service Pet Ministry for visiting nursing homes and shut-ins, please contact us.
Private Lessons:
We realize that not all behaviors can be solved in class. Many dogs act very differently in class than at home or there may be a specific behavior you would like to address. We do offer private lessons, where we come to your house and work with you and your pet on any issues you may be having -- from introducing a new pet or new baby; house training; crate training; nipping; to walking on a loose leash; etc. We charge by the hour.
Beginning in January 2008 our hourly rate for at home private lessons will be $50. (If you are enrolled in one of our classes you can get a $5 discount on hourly private lessons.)

In-Home Training:
We will no longer be doing in-home training. Please check back with us later.
Board-n-Train:
We offer this to our clients who may be boarding at a facility and would like us to train their dog while the dog is staying at the kennel. We will customize a training package for your pet while he/she is at the kennel and you are on vacation! We can work on specific needs or on general obedience commands, you tell us what to work on and we set the schedule. Give us a call to set up a board-n-train session!
