Shannon Coleman
Shannon has always had a true love for animals of all kinds. She has had horses, rabbits, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs & even salamanders! - she cannot remember a time in her life that she did not have a pet. (She even had a kitten in her dorm room in college!) Currently she shares her house with one really awesome roommate and 9 dogs and 2 cats and 2 rabbits. She has a Masters in Landscape Architecture and found that 95% of her clients had pets (mostly dogs) they ended up contacting her for help designing for or around the pets. Putting in fences, doggie doors, rearranging paths, planting pet friendly plants - that sort of thing. She began to see how these two careers really do go hand-in hand; she now calls herself a "landscape barkitect". Shannon is an AKC registered Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and preforms all of our CGC tests. She shows her 12 year old Bichon, Cokie, in Rally and she completed her RN (Rally Novice) title. She rescued Mazy (Rat Terrier) and races her in Terrier Racing where she has achieved her USR (United Steeplechase Racer). She also rescued a Toy Fox Terrier, Mini. She competes in racing and Weight Pull. She has achieved her UWP and AWP. And finally she has Indy, a rat terrier, who competes in Conformation and is a Grand Champion and an International Champion. In the Fall of 2010 she started her Certification for Canine Massage Therapy as well as A Vet Tech program. She plans on offering canine massage therapy early in 2011.
